Biography

Nikola joined Barclays in 2020 as Head of Quantitative Strategy. He is responsible for Barclays Private Bank Capital Market Assumptions and Strategic Asset Allocation. Furthermore, he provides quantitative inputs for advisory investment views of the Investment Strategy team and to the discretionary process.​ Prior to joining Barclays, Nikola worked for seven years at Credit Suisse in its Wealth Management division as an investment strategist, where he was responsible for asset returns forecasting, asset allocation, and portfolio risk modelling. Additionally, he has five years of academic research and teaching experience in Switzerland. Currently, he is also a lecturer at the University of Zurich and the School of Computing in Belgrade, where he teaches about applications of machine learning in finance.​ Nikola received Master Degrees in Physics and Economics from the University of Belgrade. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics (with specialisation in Quantitative Finance) from the University of Zurich and the Swiss Finance Institute.
